Place the 3 cups of black beans into a cooking pot on medium low heat.
Chop the 1 cup of yellow onion finely and place into a sauce pan on a medium heat. Cook and stir for 7 minutes.
Prepare the rest of the ingredients by cutting the 1 whole jalapeno pepper, 2 cloves of garlic, and 4 tbsp of cilantro finely.
Now, place all ingredient into a blender, including the 3 cups of black beans, yellow onion, 4 tbsp of avocado oil, 2 tbsp of lime juice, 1/8 tsp of sea salt, and 2 tbsp of water. Then, blend until the mixture resembles a paste like texture.
